Leica customers sending in their camera equipment for service and repair will get their gear back much faster than before.

Using the Leica V-Lux 3 review unit to shoot gingerbread man
Christmas is just THIS weekend! There’s been plenty of X’mas parties leading up to it.
We’ve thrown our share for the kids as well. So what better than to use the occasion to test drive the Leica V-Lux 3 review unit?
My wife used the digital compact to snap pictures of the goodie bags that she’d prepared for our children’s friends.
She hasn’t used a camera for ages because I do all the shooting in the family, but she took to the camera so quickly she actually enjoyed using it.
The image quality was good as well. Focusing was fast and images were pin sharp - a testimony to the Leica lens.
Mr Postman delivers: Leica V-Lux 3
The courier dropped off the Leica V-Lux 3 compact digital camera today for review. The new compact had just been announced last week and will be available from January 2012 at S$1,345.
This 12.1-megapixel compact digital camera has 24x zoom lens going from 25-600mm at apertures from f/2.8 - 5.2.
It records full-HD video in AVCHD format with 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 full frames per second.
I like its fully articulated 460,000-pixel 3” LCD display that can be folded in any directions for taking photos at awkward angles.
I’ll be reviewing it over the holiday season to find out its actual performance and image quality.
