Today, Microsoft formally launches Windows Phone 8. We might just see the HTC 8S and 8X this Friday! Tomorrow, Lenovo showcases its lineup of convertible notebook/tablet hybrids, while Brother launches its new inkjet Multi-function Centre.
Oracle happens tomorrow as well, while A*STAR unveils the world’s thinnest 2.5-inch 5mm hybrid drive for consumer and business devices on Thursday.
To round off the week, photographers will be heading for the Singapore leg of the PhotoMarathon Asia 2012 at Marina Bay Sands.
New Windows Phone 8 smartphones: Nokia 920 and Nokia 820
Nokia unveiled its new flagship smartphone – the Windows Phone 8 Nokia 920.
Together with the mid-range Nokia 820, these are its first Windows Phone 8 smartphones to be unveiled.
Both will start shipping later this year.
Converting from Apple iPhone to Nokia Lumia 900
Having used the Apple iPhone for many years, I decided to switch over to the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone to see what the new kid on the block has to offer.
I ended up pretty endeared to the black slab.
And if you drive often, especially overseas, you’ll find Nokia Drive an invaluable app that gives you instant mobility in any country in the world (well, almost).
See Olympic London in 3D with Nokia Maps
The 2012 Olympic Games is ongoing in London right now. Nokia’s spectacular 3D Maps lets you fly through the English capital from the comfort of your home.
So while you’re waiting for the next Olympic sports event to begin, take a break and fly over the Olympic Village in London with Nokia Maps 3D.
Nokia Lumia 900 for Singapore
Here’s a recap of the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone. I’ve been using this Windows Phone 7.5 powerhouse for the past month plus and will be sharing my likes and dislikes about Nokia’s flagship Windows phone.

New smartphone: Nokia 808 PureView
Nokia’s monster-imager smartphone hits the shelves (S$839) in Singapore tomorrow, in Black and White.
It will be available in Black and White and will will debut at the PC Show 2012 tomorrow at the booths of Nokia and all three major local Telcos SingTel, StarHub and M1.
Its 41-megapixel camera outputs photos at 2, 3, 5, 8, 34 and 38 megapixels resolution, and shoots Full HD 1080p videos.
The phone runs on Nokia Belle.
Lady Gaga’s manager to speak on All That Matters
The speaker line-up for the upcoming Digital and Music Matters 2012 (from 22 to 26 May 2012) has been announced.
Participants can look forward to hearing first-hand from the industry’s elites, such as Troy Carter - Lady Gaga’s manager.
They will share their knowledge and experience discussing all that matters in the music and digital entertainment industry.
White delights on Nokia Mix Radio
Yearning for some tunes to go along with the new, sleek, snow-white Nokia Lumia 800?
To celebrate the recently released white Lumia 800 smartphone, Nokia has created a “white” themed playlist on Mix Radio.
From music by Barry White and the White Stripes, to songs like White As Snow and White Flag, Nokia Lumia owners will be able to access this special playlist on Mix Radio via the Nokia Music app.
You can create their own mixes and personalised playlists based on music you love.
